PhD Admission Brochure for 2026 - 27
1. Introduction:
Admission to the Ph.D (Pharmacy) will be granted on the basis of a valid UGC-NET or GPAT score. Applicants who do not have valid UGC-NET or GPAT score must appear for and qualify the RIPANS Doctoral Program Entrance Test (RDPET). The brochure includes comprehensive information regarding the admission procedure and entrance examination.
The RIPANS Doctoral Program Entrance Test (RDPET–2026) shall be conducted for admission to the Ph.D. (Pharmacy) Programme for candidates who do not possess a valid UGC-NET or GPAT score. Candidates holding a valid UGC-NET or GPAT score shall be considered for admission based on their respective qualifying scores, while the remaining vacant seats shall be filled through the merit secured in RDPET–2026.

3. RDPET-2026 Examination:
- The syllabus for RDPET–2026 shall comprise two components: Research Methodology (50%) and Pharmacy Subject Knowledge (50%).
- Duration of examination - 2 Hours.
- The examination shall consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying two marks each. There shall be no negative marking.
- The examination will be conducted on 20th July, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the RIPANS campus, Zemabawk, Aizawl, Mizoram.
- The merit list will be declared on 21st July, 2026 and will be available on the Institute website www.ripans.ac.in.
- Any candidate found indulging in misconduct, impersonation, or any form of unfair practice shall be immediately disqualified and expelled from the Examination Hall.
- The examination shall be conducted in offline mode at the Institute campus.
- Candidates are required to report to the venue by 9:30 a.m.
- Candidates must produce a printed copy of the admit card issued through email.
- No candidate shall be permitted to enter the Examination Hall after 10 minutes from the commencement of the examination.
- Candidates are advised to regularly visit the Institute website for updates.
- All official notifications and announcements shall be communicated exclusively through the Institute website.
4. Counselling:
1. Counselling for admission to the Ph.D (Pharmacy) Programme shall be conducted strictly on the basis of merit secured in the UGC-NET, GPAT and RIPANS Doctoral Program Entrance Test (RDPET–2026). The counselling session will be held online on 4th August, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. onwards. A link shall be given to all qualified candidates through e-mail.
2. A candidate who failed to report at the scheduled time shall forfeit their claim for admission, and no candidate shall be permitted to participate in the counselling process after his/her turn has elapsed. All candidates are, therefore, advised to join the online counselling room at 10:30 a.m..
Candidates must produce the original copies of the following documents:
- B.Pharm Marksheets and Degree Certificate.
- M.Pharm Marksheets and Degree Certificate.
- Birth Certificate.
- Caste Certificate (where applicable).
- Aadhaar Card.
Failure to produce any of the above documents shall result in cancellation of the candidate's eligibility for admission.
5. Admission:
Candidates selected through the counselling process shall complete the online admission formalities and payment of fees between 5th – 6th August, 2026 by remitting the prescribed admission fee of ₹19,600/-. Failure to complete the admission process within the stipulated period shall result in automatic cancellation of the admission offered.

Note: One additional seat (10% of the approved intake) may be considered for eligible EWS candidates, subject to availability and applicable regulations.
7. General Provision
In the event of any dispute, ambiguity, or matter requiring interpretation, the decision of the Director, RIPANS shall be final and binding on all concerned.
