Department of Nutrition & DieteticsOn 24th February 2026, the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics organized an educational Farm & Industrial Visit to Vinco and Anna Production to provide students with practical exposure to food manufacturing processes. At Vinco, students were guided through the complete production cycle—from raw material selection to processing, fermentation, packaging, and quality control—covering products such as packed fruits, fermented foods, ginger–garlic paste, and other value-added items. The visit to Anna Production offered detailed insights into dairy technology, where students observed the systematic production of ice cream and lassi, including pasteurization, hygiene protocols, storage, and packaging standards. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industrial practices, enhancing students’ understanding of food safety, quality assurance, and large-scale food processing operations.Such experiential learning initiatives continue to strengthen professional competence and industry readiness among our future nutrition professionals.
