The purpose of this visit is to learn and gain more knowledge about conservation method of endangered species outside their natural habitat.
On 30th March 2026, Aizawl Zoological Park,
Lungverh, Aizawl was visited by 2nd semester BMRIT students. The purpose of
this visit is to learn and gain more knowledge about conservation method of
endangered species outside their natural habitat. We left the campus at 10:00am from the department and reached the
site at around 11:40 am. Checked in was done at the gate and right after that
briefing started within the conservation site which is then followed by the
tour to learn about the method for conservation of those endangered species
outside their natural habitat. After all the species were being visited, we
head back to the resting shed, had lunch and then leave the site at 4:00 pm and
reached the institution at around 5:30pm.
The exposure tour enhances the knowledge of the students of what
they learnt in their theory on ex situ conservation method. It helped them
witnessed the management system, how the conservation site is taken care off
and their way of preventing the species conserved within the site. The visit
gave us the chance to see various endangered species and wild animal species
which makes it easier to understand for the students of they've learnt in
theory.
