Practical training in X-ray technology at CHC, Thungsulthliah village
The
3rd semester students along with five staffs of RIT department
departed from RIPANS campus on 31st October 2025 at 10:00am and
reach our destination i.e Community Health Centre (CHC), Thingsulthliah at
around 11:30am. After reaching the place, the radiographer/technician at CHC gave
briefing on how the hospital is functioning in the radiology department. The
students were divided into five groups and each group was given a chance to
learned and performed on the radiographic techniques and radiation protection
for they are given a protective shield (lead apron for each of the student) by
our faculties. Each group that had completed their studies were given lunch and
headed back to the college and reached the campus at around 5:00pm.1.
Outcomes/impact:
(a) Radiology department work flow was understood and learnt.
(b) Radiographic techniques of different body parts
were explained and understood practically.
