The Department of Optometry, RIPANS, organised an educational exposure tour to Chennai and Madurai for final-year students to provide practical knowledge of clinical optometry, vision therapy, ophthalmic research, and optical industries.The team departed from Aizawl on 18 September 2026 and arrived in Chennai on 21 September 2026. The students visited Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital and participated in a workshop on Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy. On 22–23 September, they visited Sankara Nethralaya for clinical exposure and interaction with professionals. On 24 September, they visited Dr. Agarwal’s Optometry Institution, where an MoU for internship, training, and academic collaboration was signed.The tour also included visits to the Vision Therapy and Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Centre, Essilor India Pvt. Ltd., Aravind Eye Hospital, and Aurolab. The programme provided valuable practical learning experiences and insights into future career opportunities in optometry.
