The Department of Optometry, RIPANS, organised a one-hour guest lecture on “Modern Low Vision Rehabilitation: Recent Advances in Assistive Devices” on 8 September for the 3rd and 5th Semester B. Optometry students. The session was delivered by Dr. Renu Ranjit Thakur, Professor and HOD (Research), Optometry, CRIO, Chitkara University. The lecture highlighted recent advances in optical, non-optical, electronic, and digital assistive devices and their role in improving functional vision, independence, and quality of life among individuals with visual impairment.
