The Department of Optometry, RIPANS, conducted a School Eye Screening Camp on 19th August 2026 at the Academic Building, Level 3. The camp was coordinated by Dr. Sarakham Aimol, with active participation from the 5th Semester UG and 1st Semester PG Optometry students under faculty supervision.The students performed comprehensive eye examinations, including vision assessment, colour vision testing, slit-lamp biomicroscopy, retinoscopy, OCT, and binocular vision assessment. A total of 86 students and teachers were screened, and various conditions including myopia, hypermetropia, squint, and presbyopia were identified.The 5th Semester students also conducted an eye-health awareness session using PowerPoint presentations and educational videos, highlighting the importance of eye health and regular eye examinations.The camp provided valuable hands-on clinical and communication experience to the students while promoting eye-health awareness among the school community. Refreshments were also distributed among the children.
