On 9th October, the Department of Optometry observed World Sight Day to raise awareness about the importance of eye health and vision care.On this occasion, we had the honor of inviting Dr. Zairempuii, Consultant Optometrist, as the guest speaker. She delivered an insightful speech on the significance of World Sight Day and highlighted the importance of maintaining good eye health, especially among students.Her talk was highly informative and inspiring, helping us better understand the global burden of visual impairment and the role we, as future eye care professionals, can play in preventing avoidable blindness. The event was a great success and proved to be a valuable learning experience for all attendees.
