An intra-departmental seminar was conducted by the Department of Optometry, RIPANS on the topic “Clinical Aspects of Prescribing Prism”. The session was presented by Dr. Mousumi Saikia, Associate Professor, Department of Optometry, and was attended by all faculty members. Dr. Saikia provided an in-depth explanation of the clinical uses of prism in optometric practice. She discussed the guidelines for prescribing prism, with a focus on its application in various types of binocular vision abnormalities, including heterophoria, strabismus, and convergence insufficiency. The seminar included a question-and-answer session, which encouraged active participation and academic discussion among the faculty members.
